The issue a door latch stuck due to a jamming latch will have no real variation between how the latch moves when it is pressed in or when the handle is turned both when the door is open and when it is shut. If the door knob lock button is still stuck try turning the handle while experimenting with the ways you are pressing the button. Hi guys got a bit of a problem with my drivers side door. If this doesn t work then you re going to have to resort to removing the door from the hinges. Pull the handle and rosette off of one side of the door to expose the barrel and spring mechanism. Basically when i unlock the car it takes two pulls on the door lever to open it the first one does nothing and then on the second pull it opens.

Jiggle the handle more vigorously fast though not with too much force if you are not getting results. This is because the issue is not with the door and not even with the control the knob has over the stuck latch.
